Overview
Aero is engineered with a strict privacy-first architecture. The Aero Video Downloader desktop client does not monitor, track, log, or transmit details of the video links you download, or analyze your media library contents. All downloading and scraping processes happen directly on your local system.
Information We Collect
To run the token licensing validation system, the Software connects to our licensing server, transmitting the following details:
- Hardware System ID: A cryptographic, non-reversible hardware signature unique to your machine. We use this exclusively to securely bind your purchased token package to your device.
- License Token Key: The random alphanumeric key supplied when activating your copy.
- Scraper Status Metrics: Basic anonymous network status reports (e.g. successful/failed download handshakes) to help our engineering team identify if a target website has changed its layout and broken a native scraper. No video links or titles are included in these metrics.
Cookies and Local Data
Inside the desktop application, cookies or sessions may be locally cached inside isolated, persistent Electron partitions to maintain your logins on supported social websites (such as YouTube, Facebook, or TikTok). These cookies remain locked securely in your local environment and are never transmitted to our licensing servers or external parties.
Data Protection
All database records stored on our server (including active keys, remaining token balances, names associated with license activation, and hardware system identifiers) are secured with modern encryption protocols. We will never sell, lease, distribute, or share your data with advertising platforms or other third parties.
Your Rights
You have the absolute right to request information about your license status, request database purging of your hardware ID binding history, or request full deletion of your registered credentials. To initiate a query, contact the system administrator directly.
